Ralph W. Niemann, DDS, MS

niemannDr. Ralph Niemann was raised in Waldorf Maryland. Dr. Niemann graduated from Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf Maryland in 1979.

Dr. Niemann graduated magna cum laude from Appalachian State University in 1983. While there he was admitted to Gamma Beta Phi Honor society and Beta Beta Beta Biology honor society. Graduated in the top five of his class from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1988. He was awarded to PSI Omega fraternal Achievement award in the same year.

Following graduation, performed at general practice residency of West Virginia University Hospital where he learned advanced training in emergency service, trauma and surgery. In 1991, he graduated with a master of science degree specializing in Endodontics from West Virginia University School of Dentistry. While in specialty training, he presented a poster clinic on oral lymphoma at the prestigious international meeting of the American Association of Endodontics, where he won 3rd prize among dozens of entries. Upon graduation he was admitted to Phi Kappa Phi in recognition of West Virginia Universities Highest academic achievements. He also submitted an article of his research conducted during his specialty training to the Journal of Endodontics which was accepted and published as the cover article in June 1993.

Currently, Dr. Niemann is a member of many associations including: American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontist, Maryland State Dental Association, West Virginia State Dental Association, Maryland State Association of Endodontist, West Virginia Endondontic Alumni Association, Southern Endodontic Study Group, Patuxent Dental Society, Calvert County Dental Study Club, He has been active by serving as secretary, treasurer, Vice-President and president of both Maryland and West Virgina Endodontic Societies.

Dr. Niemann has practiced in two locations,Waldorf Maryland and Prince Frederick Maryland since his specialty graduation in 1991.

He and his wife live in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland where they enjoy golf, travel, country music, family, friends and each other.

Dr. Niemann has the most modern Endodontic equipment to assure the most pleasant experience possible. All root canals and surgical procedures are performed in one visit, usually lasting less than an hour. No teeth will be treated unless it is thoroughly numb. Dr. Niemann will perform multiple tests to assure total numbness prior to treatment because he wants to WOW you.
